We are surrounded by an abundance of opportunity. Yet it's easy to fall into the current culture's messages of scarcity. Here are 5 tips to help you focus on more abundance.
Several times over the past few years, we have partnered with one of our chamber members, Tyrone Rinta, to host a live Leadercast conference at Rivers Church. I've followed Leadercast ever since. They produce some good motivational content.
One article I received in my inbox today really hit home. The author, Brian Rutherford, is the Director of Operations for Leadercast.
Brian describes the flood of emails he received Thanksgiving evening with early promotions for Black Friday sales. In particular, he notes the headlines have a common theme of "limited offer", "time is running out", "we may not offer this again", and so on. Brian continues to tell the story of how he drove his daughter back to college Sunday evening and had quiet time in the car to reflect. He found himself focusing on abundance, not scarcity.
As community leaders, a goal of the chamber of commerce is to improve the quality of life, and the quality of our businesses, in North Phoenix. One way we can help change the business climate is to change our outlook on it.
Consider the impact these 5 simple daily practices could have on your perspective:
